Obstetrician and Gynecologist

Dr Sharon Foo graduated from University College London (UK). Her present clinical practice encompasses all aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology with special interest in high risk obstetrics, operative obstetrics, peri-partum and maternal medicine. She is actively involved in multi-disciplinary obstetrics simulation training, facilitating programmes for OBGYN-centric teams, and extending and fine-tuning the programme for Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine physicians. She combined her interest in simulation training and operative obstetrics in putting together an instrumental simulation training workshop encompassing clinical decision making and safe operative techniques. She is also passionate about global health initiatives, and is invested in expanding the knowledge and experience of its scope, implications on everyday medical practice, and opportunities for research and development for residents and colleagues alike. She has also been an integral part of a multi-disciplinary medical mission team conducting healthcare professional training in obstetrics emergencies and resuscitation, spear-heading multiple mission trips to Kampong Chnang, Cambodia. Apart from her clinical commitment, Dr Sharon Foo has also been actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students of Yong Loo Lin, Duke-NUS and Lee Kong Chian Medical schools and is also a Physician Faculty for PGY1s. She is deeply invested in creating awareness and discourse on workplace culture, and promoting positive workplace behavior through The GRACE Movement. She has great interest, and is currently involved in, research which has an impact on daily clinical practice and aims to improve maternal and neonatal outcome.
